Revision and Proofreading Process

Please revise the footnotes and reference list in your manuscript according to the citation guidelines (available at: https://ccspub.cc/jrcc/format).

Revisions:

  • Please use the Article Sample.
  • Please carefully review the Footnote Format and revise the footnotes and reference list accordingly.
  • Please include a link to your ORCID ID, which can be obtained by visiting orcid.org. Please provide your personal email address and the name of your employer.
  • Please leave the DOI field blank; it will be assigned after editorial formatting.
  • Please add an English title, abstract, and keywords at the end of the article, along with the author’s name and institutional affiliation.
  • Please include a list of references in both Chinese and English.
  • Please translate the Chinese references into English.

Points to note:

  1. This journal’s citation style is derived from the citation styles of A&HCI journals such as Pneuma & Logos and Sino-Christian Studies, combined with the evolution of the Chicago style. These guidelines are designed to meet the requirements of relevant indexing databases.
  2. This journal’s style may be adjusted as needed.
  3. The main differences from domestic citation styles are as follows: (Key areas requiring revision)

Footnotes:

(1) A comma, not a colon, follows the author’s name. The translator’s name is placed after the author’s name.

(2) Place of publication, publisher, and publication date must be enclosed in parentheses.

(3) Do not include the word “year” after the publication date.

(4) Do not use “ibid.” or similar abbreviations in footnotes; instead, use a brief citation format: author + title + page number.

(5) In English footnotes, do not place the surname before the given name; the place of publication should precede the publisher’s name; please use English punctuation.

References:

Chinese Sources:

(1) Place a period after the author’s name. Also place a period after the title.

(2) Remove the parentheses containing the publisher and publication date from the footnote.

(3) Do not include the word “year” after the publication date.

(4) Translate the Chinese source into English, place it in [ ], and insert it after the Chinese source.

(5) References must be arranged in alphabetical order (A–Z) based on the author’s surname in Pinyin.

English References:

(1) The author’s surname must come first (unlike in footnotes).

(2) Arrange in alphabetical order (A–Z) by surname.

(3) List English references first, followed by Chinese references; that is, list English references before Chinese references.

  3. Please read through the manuscript thoroughly, ensuring that sentences flow smoothly, there are no typos or ambiguities, and punctuation is used correctly;
  4. Please verify the accuracy of any translations from foreign languages;
  5. Please check that personal names, affiliations, and other information are accurate.
  6. For any necessary revisions, please add “comments” directly to the PDF (please use Adobe Acrobat to print the PDF, right-click, and select “Add Comment”), or make corrections on the hard copy, then photograph or scan it and send it back via this WeChat account.
